Closure of Australian Consulate Nagoya

After 17 years of providing consular and trade promotion services in the Chubu region, the Australian Consulate in Nagoya will close on 31 August 2009. The consular and trade promotion services currently provided by the Consulate will now be provided by the Australian Embassy in Tokyo and the Australian Consulate-General in Osaka.

The Consulate in Nagoya will cease the provision of passport services on Friday 21 August 2009 and notarial services on Friday 28 August 2009.

All consular enquiries or requests for assistance from Australian citizens in the Chubu region should now be directed to the Australian Embassy in Tokyo or to one of the other Consulates-General or Consulates in Japan.
