Australian Science
Innovation Showcase
Australia and Japan are building strong connections in science, education and research, fostering innovation and enhancing scientific research and development.
Exciting new achievements in many fields are the result of increasing collaboration between:
- government research agencies;
- private sector research organisations;
- educational institutions; and
- industry and corporate bodies.
An exhibition showcasing this collaboration was developed for use at the Aichi World Expo 2005 and for display in Japan during the 2006 Australia - Japan Year of Exchange. In addition to the exhibition, a website has been created to showcase exciting stories of cooperation between Australia and Japan in science, technology, engineering and innovation.
The English and Japanese language website was developed through a partnership between Questacon - Australia's National Science and Technology Centre, and Japan's National Museum of Emerging Science and Innovation (Miraikan). The project was funded through the Australian Government Initiative, Backing Australia's Ability.
