As of 9 November 2009, the Tokyo office will no longer be able to accept applications for Occupational Trainee (subclass 442) visas. These applications must be lodged at the Adelaide Occupational Trainee Processing Centre (AOTPC). For more information, please see:

Citizenship by Descent changes
For applications lodged at the Tokyo office on or after 1 March 2009, Citizenship by Descent will be registered only in the current legal name of the applicant. No change of name by statutory declaration (eg. adding a middle name or taking on the Australian parent's surname) will be permitted.
